There's No Place Like Home

"Close your eyes and tap your heels together three times.  And think to yourself, there's no place like home"....I just love Dorthy!  I'll admit, I cried when I came across this party.  The Wizard of Oz is my absolute favorite movie of all time and like I've said before I have tons of Wizard of Oz memorabilia that I hope to use one day for a little girls room.   I was Dorthy for 4 Halloweens in a row when I was little.  I found this party over on Amy Atlas and I know I'll be up tonight thinking about all these adorable details...enjoy! 

J.Crew Obsession

I just called J.Crew and put this shirt on hold, love!  Honey do loves stripes & we also adore navy and pink.  Check out the fabulous wrap, it would be so cute in the summer paired with a white tank...

....I'm loving this classic chignon that I spotted over on {this is glamorous}.  It's classic, elegant, sexy and soft.  This could work for a day out running errands to a black tie event.  Perfection!!

Vintage Seahawks!

So there is no way I could go without posting and mentioning the Seahwaks big, huge win on Saturday and I was lucky enough to be at the game.  Yes, I've lost my voice from screaming so much but it was all worth it.  We are playing the Chicago Bears next week so I thought I would post a few pictures on some fun vintage Seahawk shirts and a jacket that I adore and need for next season. I found these fun pieces on Junk Food Vintage and the Seattle Seahawks Store.  Vintage is always the way to go for girls sporting fan gear.  I'm proud of the Seahawks!

Texas Style!

I threw together a 30th Birthday for my younger brother a few weeks ago...he went to school in Texas and wanted a Texas themed line dancing party.  I had so much fun packaging peanuts and did a mix of bags of peanuts and my new favorite pretzel M & M's (and of course just picked out the red ones).   I used hay for the bottom of my tray, wrapped the bags with gingham red and brown ribbon and had Katie from Green Apple Paperie do the labels.  She is so amazing!  Happy Friday and go Seahawks!

Toile Love

There's no question that I will have a toile wallpapered bathroom in my home one day.   I love toile, it's classic and traditional and will never get old to me.  Toile comes from the name of a fabric entered in the English language around the 16th century from a French word meaning "linen cloth".  This dress below is incredible and so classic.  I really think I must have it...I do have a few weddings coming up :) The dress is from Three Little Ducks, she has adorable pieces...check out her boutique on ETSY.

Organzie Your Life

I'm obsessed with organizing and actually thought I was pretty on top of it with my bins and label maker until I saw this picture over on Cupcakes and Cashmere.  I love this file system and think it's so pleasant and easy on the eye.  What a great way to organize your files by having main categories and color coating them and then breaking them up this way.  I'm doing this, join me!!

The Perfect Slipper: UGG

I normally would never dream of spending $100 dollars on a pair of slippers but my friends Lisa and Sarah both got a pair of the UGG Slippers for Christmas and they just look so comfy and are adorable...I'm tempted to splurge.  I'm loving this red but they also come in the classic tan, pewter and yes a Husky purple...perfect!  You can find them at Nordstrom.

Kardashians Take New York

I"m a sucker for reality TV and I've enjoyed watching The Kardashians over the last few years.  I only squeeze in a few episodes a month but I love big families and it's been fun to watch the madness, entertainment and dynamics with a family of 8.  Okay, so maybe I liked the show better when they weren't as famous and a little more down to earth but I'm going to check out Kourtney & Kim Take New York.  It should be full of great entertainment and if anything fun fashion tips.  Happy Wednesday Dolls - as Kim would say! 

Ahoy!! Nautical Boys Room

These rooms are so adorable, I'm loving the boys built-in bunk beds, ladders, fish nets, porthole mirrors and the beadboard ceiling with a ceiling fan, did I mention that I love beadboard, I do!!  I would use a different window treatment, lamp, rug and throw in a stripped navy chair (of course) but I love the bunk beds.  I threw in another room that I love, a mix of these two rooms would be perfection!!

Details I'm Loving

Don't pay attention to the pillows on the couch but I just love the idea in the window, blow up a picture of you and your best friends from your wedding and have it in your office, bonus room or even just a closet - that is if you have a nice walk in closet.  I love anything personalized so this stood out to me.  You can blow up pictures on canvas at Kinkos.  Happy Tuesday!!

J.Crew Obsession

I'm telling you this is the best investment I've ever made from J.Crew and I think everyone needs one for their wardrobe.  I wear my pearl necklace with everything...when I want to jazz up a blouse, dress or even a t-shirt.  Happy Shopping!!

I thought this was darling, what a cute bracelet and gift idea from Lenora Dame for only $80 dollars.  How fun to for all you moms, you can teach your kids the alphabet and look stylish at the same time...Happy 2011!!

Tutorial: How To Tie A Bow

Okay, I watched several tutorials on "how to tie a bow" and this was my favorite.  Its simple and easy -  but I will say I don't like how she only left a little of the bow at the ends.  I would always leave more ribbon for a classier, richer look.  Happy Wrapping!

I must admit...I can't wait to send out family Christmas cards, these were just a few of my favorites this year from Tiny Prints.  I know it's a little late but this will be a great website to save in your favorites for next year and for all year round Birthday Cards, Announcements, Save the Date, Photo Books....  Tiny Prints is reasonable, has classy designs and just perfect for Family Christmas Cards.  Of course all my Christmas cards will say Merry Christmas - so I love some of these minus the "Happy Holidays".
