J.Crew Must Have

I've been trying to be so good and stay out of J.Crew (aka my biggest weakness) but I had to share my new favorite J.Crew pick of the week.  This puff-sleeve popover is a must...so adorable and it comes in this french blue, black, white and a vibrant flame for $79.50.  Puff-sleeves will always remind me of Anne of Green Gables.  This shirt would be adorable with anything from jeans to a pencil skirt.  Happy shopping!!

Kate Middleton Hits Los Angeles

Kate Middleton is looking better and better...she looked incredible this past week during her trip to Los Angeles and Canada.  I'm loving her look, so classy and elegant.  Can I please marry a prince.  Pretty please...yes, I'm singing right now "some day my prince will come". Happy Friday!

I absolutely bleed red, white and blue.  I’m so proud to be an American and love this country and everything it stands for.  I dream of the day that I have a home where I can display an American Flag all year round.  I loved these displays of the American Flag from Martha Stewart.  Have a very Happy 4^th! Red, White & Blue

I'm starting to think that the 4th of July is my favorite holiday.  Everywhere I turn I buy anything red, white and blue that I can get my hands on.  I have a deep love for our Country and I'm so proud to be an American and yes I'm one of those people that cries while watching the fireworks show on the 4th.  Katie (my fabulous label lady) who I buy all my labels, tags, banners, toppers, from...has an adorable July 4th set of printables at Green Apple Paperie for only $10 dollars.  It's a must and will add so much to any 4th of July celebration.  Happy almost Independence Day!

Swink Style Bar: U Village

Swink Style Bar at University Village is now open!  I love this place! You can get a blowout, your hair styled, make up done….it’s quick and so easy to run in and get your hair done before an event or party.  The best part is it’s only $35 dollars  ….. last summer I had my hair braided and it would last for a few days...so perfect!  Happy Tuesday!

Dick's Burgers!!

 

What was happening in 1954 in Seattle…well, Seattleites were devouring Dick's burgers and fries…also, “Bannister shattered the four-minute mile, Salk perfected the polio vaccine, and Hemingway won the Nobel prize for Literature. And as a young Elvis sang his first great hits, Dick's Drive-In became the place in Seattle to meet your friends, show off Mom and Dad's new car or just trade pocket change for a quick bite to eat”.   Dick’s burgers has set the standard for the best fast food in Seattle and become one of Seattle’s trademarks.  Last night I threw an event and Fawn Spady (one of the owners of Dicks Burgers) brought over 50 hamburgers, 30 shakes and enough condiments to go around and it was a HUGE hit.  What a fabulous idea if you are throwing a couples shower, summer party or even a kids birthday party.  I just love the idea of serving Dick’s Burgers on a platter.  Happy Thursday!!!

Never Looked So Good!

Okay, I'll admit I'm a little critical of Kate Middleton only because Princess Diana was my favorite as a little girl.  I looked up to her, I loved her heart for people and of course not as important but her style was flawless.  My jaw dropped when I saw this picture of Prince William and Princess Kate on The Wife blog...she looks incredible and definitely is a wife with style!!  Happy Monday!!

 

Sparkle

The secret is out, I'm obsessed with Katie from Green Apple Paperie...Katie is the most amazing and talented person to work with.  I've never been disappointed with her work and if anything the poor thing is probably sick of how dramatic I am with my over the top excited emails back to her with a million exclamations and smiley faces.  She is incredible!! I just did a candy table a few weeks ago for one of my close friends (I will post pictures soon) and for a wedding next week I'm making sparkler send offs and I just had to share how adorable this tag she created is.  Happy Thursday!!!
