Wine Personalized

This idea is fantastic!!  This is perfect for a smaller wedding, dinner party or a shower.  Replace a place card with a wine glass and then your guests can take it home as a party favor.  I found these over on Every Last Detail and thought it was a darling idea.  How to:  find inexpensive wine glasses, put on some chalkboard paint and add your guests names!   Happy Friday!

Pashima Style

You know all the years I've been wearing pashminas I never found the perfect way to tie the darn thing until today...my friend Jill who has a fabulous blog:  Good Life For Less, ties her pashmina just perfect.  I love this! She wrapped it around her neck once and then brings it together at the bottom in a soft knot.  Perfection! Way to go Jill!

DIY: Custom Roller Shades

Most people leave dressing up their windows with window treatments for the very last project because they are just so expensive.  I found a fun solution. You can make these classy monogram shades for under $50.  Add a graphic stenciled design and you have a custom window treatment that’s low on cost and high on style.  I found this fun project on Chapman Interior & Southern Living.  Enjoy!

Shade: 37¼" x 66" light-filtering vinyl shade in white by Levolor (levolor.com), available through Lowe’s; lowes.com.
Brackets: Inside-Mount Shade Brackets, also by Levolor, also available through Lowe’s.
Stencils:  Sunny's Paint Stencils you can purchase here.

Rhode Island Wedding

Yes, I will have stripes at my wedding and stripes in my home, bedroom, and kitchen.  My condo had the most darling stripped bubble window treatment that I can't wait for the minute it sells I'm going to grab it and hang it in my bedroom.  Everything about this New England wedding from Style Me Pretty I adore and LOVE... okay, so I guess it could have something to do with the stripes everywhere and the fabulous details.  Look how the bride tied everything together and matched her wedding colors with the venue. SO AMAZING!  Everything about this makes me happy..I hope you enjoy as much as I did.

It's All In The Details

I actually used this idea when I was decorating my condo, it's inexpensive and darling.  I purchased 4 old doors and antiqued washed them and placed them behind my bed.  This idea below is so cute!  It looks like they used old barn doors.  Think about how much money you would save on a bed frame.  Happy Budget Decorating!

Dino For Senate

I had the privilege of being on the Host/Planning Committee for a Young Professionals Fund Raiser for Dino Rossi this past Friday.  We worked hard to find the best venue, music, appetizers, drinks and entertainment for our guests.  It was a great evening and the turnout was more then we expected.  We raised about 5k more then we thought we would.  Here are a few pictures from the evening.  And yes the Ronald Reagan cutout is mine and is now safely home with me where it will remain ;).
